What can I do after MPC?

MPC keeps a wide set of doors open: computing, core engineering, physical sciences, design-adjacent fields and general degrees.

Nothing here is a ranking or a requirement. Treat it as a shortlist to research, then confirm current rules with the colleges you are considering.

Directions students commonly explore

  • Computing degrees — B.Tech CSE, its AI/ML and data science variants, BCS and BCA.
  • Core engineering — electronics, IoT and other hardware-facing branches.
  • Science degrees — BSc streams in physics, mathematics, statistics or chemistry.
  • General degrees — some MPC students move into business or humanities programmes; check what each college allows.

Skills worth testing before you decide

  • Try a small programming project to see whether writing logic holds your attention.
  • Try a simple electronics or sensor project if hardware sounds interesting.
  • Try explaining a problem in writing — analytical writing matters in every one of these directions.

If maths feels hard right now

  • Application-heavy computing degrees such as BCA and BCS usually feel different from maths-heavy theory papers, but they still involve logic.
  • Weakness in one subject at one point is not a permanent verdict — look at what you enjoy practising, not only current marks.
  • Ask each college what mathematics appears in the first year of the specific programme.
